The images in this slideshow are the personal photos of Christina and Reed Wilson who were members of NTBG's 2nd cruise departure. This slideshow not only captures the flora, but also the unique fauna of the Rio Amazon and its tributary, the Rio Negro. Note that these photos were taken in Jun 2009 after historic flooding of the region. Be sure not to miss the arial photos of the Manaus Opera House and the river!
Although this cruise was a group charter for the National Tropical Botanical Garden ,arrangements with Amazon cruise companies that accept individuals and offer a similar small group experience are available.
