Panoramic Hotel

The Iguazú Falls are the most overwhelming falls in South America. Iguazú means “Great Waters” in the Guaraní Indian tongue. It is difficult to imagine the thrill Portuguese discoverer Alvar Nuñez Cabeza de Vaca must have felt when in 1541 he encountered this marvel of nature, with the awesome sight of the thundering waterfalls. The exuberant virgin rain forests, the red earth, the amazing wildlife and ... the overwhelming view of 275 waterfalls plunging over a 250 ft. precipice into the mysterious Devil’s Throat gorge, are wrapped in a dense cloud of mist and a myriad rainbows. The water plunges at a rate of 6,000 cubic feet a second. Their height is greater than Niagara’s by approximately 70 feet.

Meet and Greet at Iguazú Airport and transfer to the Panoramic Hotel (20 minutes).

The Panoramic Iguazú is located on a hill, very close to the Three Frontiers Landmark, in the city of Puerto Iguazú. Its name derives from the incredible panoramic view of the meeting of the Iguazú and Paraná rivers, dividing the borders of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay. Surrounded by lush tropical gardens and the Iguazú Riviera, it is the ideal setting to relax and enjoy this magical heaven in a true five-star hotel.

We continue with a walk along the Upper Trail for a close-up view of the marvellous falls and the view of the Brazilian National Park and San Martín Island across the Iguazú river. The natural surroundings –the jungle, the wildlife, bountiful plant and animal species and the abundance of waterfalls, makes this a most incredible sight.

(Be prepared to be drenched! We will provide plastic ponchos and bags to keep cameras dry from the spray of the falls). We then take a hike along the Lower Trail (this walk demands some effort as there are stairs to climb) discovering more amazing views amidst the lush tropical vegetation  dotted  with orchids, bromeliads, a myriad butterflies, birds and rainbows.
